WINNETKA, Calif.<\/span>, Oct. 4, 2025<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — The family of 20-year-old Michael Kocabay is urgently seeking the public’s help after he went missing on the morning of Thursday, September 25, 2025. Michael was last seen arriving at the Angeles National Forest ranger station at approximately 8:51 AM after taking an Uber from his home in Winnetka.<\/p>\n

According to the ranger on duty, Michael asked about accessing the mountains but was informed the area was closed. He was directed to exit the driveway and turn either left or right. From that point on, his whereabouts remain unknown.<\/p>\n

Michael’s sister, Arianna Kocabay, discovered the Uber receipt through one of Michael’s email accounts. She also found a note indicating suicidal intent, along with login credentials to several accounts. The family believes Michael may have had two phones and is working with authorities to trace his digital footprint.<\/p>\n

A search and rescue team has already conducted an initial sweep of the area with K-9 units, but no confirmed sightings have been reported. The Los Angeles Police Department has opened a case under report number #25180288.<\/b><\/p>\n

“We’re desperate to find Michael and bring him home safely,” said Arianna. “He’s deeply loved, and we’re asking anyone who may have seen him or has information to come forward.”<\/i><\/p>\n
