{"id":2534,"date":"2025-10-25T11:45:37","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T11:45:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/network.rvrising.com\/?p=2534"},"modified":"2025-10-25T11:45:37","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T11:45:37","slug":"att-violates-bbb-national-programs-national-advertising-division-procedures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rvrising.com\/news\/entertainment\/att-violates-bbb-national-programs-national-advertising-division-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"AT&#038;T Violates BBB National Programs&#8217; National Advertising Division Procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"legendSpanClass\">NEW YORK<\/span>, <span class=\"legendSpanClass\">Oct. 24, 2025<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ &#8212; BBB National Programs&#8217; National Advertising Division today determined that AT&amp;T Services, Inc. violated Section 2.1(I) of the National Advertising Division (NAD)\/National Advertising Review Board (NARB) Procedures for the U.S. advertising industry&#8217;s process of self-regulation by issuing a press release and video advertisement that use the NAD process and its findings for promotional purposes.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>NAD has demanded that AT&amp;T immediately remove such violative promotional materials and cease all future dissemination.<\/p>\n<p><b>The NAD Procedures specifically state that:<br class=\"dnr\" \/><\/b>2.1(I)(2) By participating in an NAD or NARB proceeding, the parties agree&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"prnml40\">(b) not to\u00a0mischaracterize any decision,\u00a0abstract, or press release\u00a0issued or use and\/or disseminate such decision,\u00a0abstract or press release\u00a0for advertising and\/or promotional purposes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In direct violation of this, AT&amp;T issued a press release and is running an ad making representations regarding the alleged results of a competitor&#8217;s participation in BBB National Program&#8217;s advertising industry self-regulatory process.<\/p>\n<p>The integrity and success of the self-regulatory forum hinges on the voluntary agreement of participants in an NAD proceeding to abide by the rules set forth in the BBB National Programs&#8217; Procedures.
