Pune:<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span> AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune successfully hosted <\/span><\/span><\/span>Atithya 2026<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, an International Inter-Collegiate Hospitality Competition, from the <\/span><\/span><\/span>4th to the 6th<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, bringing together young hospitality talent from across India and abroad.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The three-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from <\/span><\/span><\/span>25 teams representing leading hospitality institutes from various parts of India<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, along with an <\/span><\/span><\/span>international team from RUDN University, Moscow<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>. Students competed in <\/span><\/span><\/span>nine diverse hospitality competitions<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, showcasing skills in culinary arts, food and beverage service, front office operations, and allied hospitality domains.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A key highlight of the event was the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Awards Night<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, which was designed around an elegant <\/span><\/span><\/span>Russian theme<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> as a mark of respect and goodwill towards the visiting team from Moscow. The ceremony was graced by <\/span><\/span><\/span>H.E. Mr. Ivan Fetisov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, as the Chief Guest and <\/span><\/span><\/span>Dr. Victor Gorelykh, Director, Russian House <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>as a Guest of Honour. The event was hosted by <\/span><\/span><\/span>Hon. Secretary Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> and was graced by the presence of <\/span><\/span><\/span>Yashrajraje Chhatrapati<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> and close to <\/span><\/span><\/span>400 distinguished guests<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, including academicians, industry professionals, and members of the Russian expatriate community residing in Pune. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Dr. Sonali Jadhav, Principal of AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, stated that Atithya is organised with the objective of <\/span><\/span><\/span>creating a common platform for hospitality students to showcase their talent, creativity, and professional competence<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, while encouraging cultural exchange and healthy competition among institutions<\/span><\/span><\/span>. Mr. Ananad Chordia, Director, Suhana Masale<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> addressed the students and spoke about taking Indian Food to the Global Market. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The coveted <\/span><\/span><\/span>Champions Trophy<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> of Atithya 2026 was awarded to <\/span><\/span><\/span>Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, for their outstanding overall performance across competitions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
